For international students, Canadian students, and US citizens, McGill University offers a fully funded master’s or professional degree program through the McCall MacBain scholarships.

Applications for the McCall MacBain Scholarship 2024 are now being accepted. There will be 100 entrance awards and up to 30 full scholarships given out.

Applicants for the McCall MacBain Scholarship may submit applications to any of the following master’s degree programs that meet the requirements: MA in Arts; MArch in Architecture; MATL in Arts in Teaching and Learning; MBA in Business Administration; MEd in Education; MEng in Engineering; MISt in Information Studies; MM in Management; MMus in Music; MPP in Public Policy; MSc (Science); MScA (Science, Applied); MScAPT (Science, Applied in Physical Therapy); MScAOT (Science, Applied in Occupational Therapy); MSW (Social Work); MUP (Urban Planning), LLM (Law), STM (Sacred Theology).

Professional Undergraduate Degrees for Second Entry: BCL/JD (Law), DMD (Dentistry), and MDCM (Medicine).

Eligibility Criteria

One of the following requirements must be met in order to be eligible for the scholarship:

  • If you are a student, you can apply and receive your undergraduate degree by August 2024.
  • January 2018 or later is when you obtained your first bachelor’s degree during the last five years.
  • In 2023, you will be 30 years of age or younger, having received your first bachelor’s degree more than five years ago.
  • The requirements for the McCall MacBain Scholarship Program are listed above.
  • In order to be admitted to a Master’s program at McGill University that is qualified for the McCall Scholarship, you must also meet the admission requirements.

Evidence of Expertise Not Necessary if:

  • English is the mother tongue, the language that was initially taught and is now used on a daily basis.
  • holds a bachelor’s degree from the United States or Canada, or plans to get one soon.
  • has spent at least four years living, working, or attending college in a nation where English is recognized as the official primary language.
  • has earned (or is set to earn) a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited international school where English is the medium of instruction.
