General Eligibility of Fulbright Scholarship 2023-2024

The Fulbright Fellowship, often known as the Fulbright Foreign Student Program, is available to students of all nationalities.

However, program eligibility and selection criteria differ greatly between countries.

U.S Fullbright Program-specific Criteria

• Degree: All interested applicants must review the information provided on the websites of US universities that demand a certain degree, either a Ph.D. or a Master’s degree.
• Candidates for Early Career and Post-Doctoral Positions: Applicants must apply only if they can satisfy their degree requirements by February 1, and if this is not possible, they must provide the estimated date of completion.
• Teaching Experience: All US-related programs at the post-secondary level are available; experience level and discipline requirements vary.
• Language: While English is generally regarded as ideal for teaching-related degrees, the type of project is the key predictor of this need, so having a firm grasp of foreign languages may be advantageous.

Procedure to Submit an Application for a Fulbright Scholarship in 2024

Here’s how to submit a complete application for a Fulbright scholarship competition for the school year 2023-2024:

• Navigate to the Fulbright scholarship webpage for your country
• A Fulbright Fellowship Form of online application (provided at the end)
• three letters of recommendation for references
• Your GRE result report
• Plan of study or research proposal
• Uploading scanned transcripts that provide a description of the university’s grading system is necessary. Please keep in mind that while attested documents are preferred, degrees and transcripts attested by the granting body will be accepted at the time of application.

Application Deadline

The Fulbright Scholarship 2024 is accepting applications from February 3rd, 2023, until April 15th, 2023. The following is a timeline for the results as well as the next steps:

January The competition begins.

December: The applicant receives an email informing them of the status of their application. You must update your IEE on your current email address if you have been required by a particular situation to change the primary email address you supplied when you submitted your application.

From December through May

Multi-national Fulbright Commissions and US Public Affairs screen and choose candidates.

from January through June

The selected candidates are subsequently sent to the J. William Fulbright Scholarship Board for a precise assessment. After that, candidates receive an email from the IIE letting them know if they were chosen to earn a Fulbright prize or award.

June onwards
